The 22-day Writing Challenge is  for experienced and beginning writers alike

It is not about producing perfect writing, or writing for publication. You can do that later if you wish.

Instead, it is a daily writing practice which will support your creative process in the following ways:

As you

  • Write for yourself alone and listen deeply to yourself, you develop clearer access to your own wisdom and guidance;
  • Create a sanctuary space for yourself every day, you commit to nourishing yourself;
  • Develop a rhythm of writing for 20 minutes each day over 22 Days – you create a new, life affirming habit and build trust in your ability to follow through on your intentions;
  • Become more aware of your creative process, so you are able to more easily see where you get stuck and how you can move through blocks such as self-doubt, self-criticism and perfectionism;
  • Build on your strengths as a writer,  you will find the courage to extend beyond your comfort zone and onto your vital growing edge.
  • Become confident in harvesting from the imaginal realm, you will enter the spacious flow of inspiration.

This daily practice will support you in the following ways:

Whether you see writing as your transformational tool of choice or not, committing to a daily rhythm and forward movement will revitalise you, nourish your whole being, keep you buoyant throughout the day and build your confidence.

When you take space and time for yourself each day, with the intention of being in a state of presence and awareness and deeply listening, you can connect more fully than usual with your inner resources and create a state of mental, emotional and spiritual coherence;

By paying attention to whatever is emerging at the edge of your conscious mind, you can harvest the creative seeds of insights, intuitions, dream fragments, visions, memories and poetry. When you value and nurture these seeds they will grow and point the way forward to future creations and self-realisation.

Your intention and the rhythm of the practice will bring to the surface any fears or limiting beliefs that are blocking your creative joy and fulfilment. You can then choose to write into and befriend your fears.

As you see through, and clear, the mental clutter of worries, distractions, doubts and to-do lists, you glimpse what has the most heart and meaning for you.

We come together as a group of strangers and I’m in awe of what we are able to harvest from our meetings.  Simply by making the commitment to show up to our writing every day and holding the intention to drop our resistances, we can liberate ourselves from old limiting patterns.  As we allow ourselves to bring forward more of who we are, we enlarge the space we inhabit and open some of the windows in the mind that have been closed. Inspiration flows in and a creative spark becomes enlivened. The more spacious container of our being becomes a transformational vessel through which we can re-create our story. This is what writing makes possible.” Rose Diamond

I’ve had a lot of resistance to writing mainly because of my dyslexia and I wanted to free my self-expression. The daily practice has supported me to show up even when I didn’t want to and that has strengthened my confidence and self-worth. I liked Rose’s suggestion to be curious which helped me to put less pressure on myself and then the inquiry questions encouraged me to be more adventurous and took me to the next level. Being part of a heart-centred group who are willing to share deeply allows me to feel heard, helps my healing and gives me hope that I can be more than I ever believed I could be. All the work I’ve done with Rose has been profoundly helpful in coming to terms with my own mortality and with recognising all the little deaths that have happened over the years – the regrets, disappointments, heartaches and sorrows – and writing enables me to appreciate all of this as a blessing.  Liz
This has been a beautiful process of getting closer to myself. Lots of little gems I didn’t know were there have been uncovered as well as many inner shifts. I feel ready, and now have the confidence, to stand in my sovereignty and to share with others the treasures I hold. Going within, loving myself and then being able to radiate out and share the blessings, I now know for sure that richness comes from within. The way Rose facilitates is simply the best.   Deana

This is the support you will get in the 22-Day Writing Challenge:

1. 4 x 2 hour sessions in a small group (no more than ten people) with Rose exploring the following themes:

  • Clarifying your intentions and desires and how you/we can build the best container for the fulfilment of these;
  • Developing writing as a practice to support presence, awareness and soul-embodiment;
  • How writing can be a tool for inquiry, exploration and discovery which will support you through troubled times;
  • Approaching writing as a relationship and a conversation with your inner being, with others and with expanded consciousness;
  • Discovering how and when you interrupt your creative flow and how to reconnect.
  • Opening to the imaginal realm;

As you can see these themes will equip you for more conscious, creative living and support you in every area of creative life, as well as writing.

2. Simple writing practices you can use each day for 22 days – and beyond!

3. You will be part of a group  who will listen, encourage, inspire, and hold you accountable to your intentions.

4. As your guide, Rose will make available to youa lifetime of experience as a writer and as a lifelong curious student of the creative process.

The 22-day Writing Challenge is a complete experiential process in itself. For those of you who want to continue to develop your writing practice either through Write Your Way Through Grief, or through the 9-month Alchemical Writing Circle, this provides an essential foundation.
