About Rose -old

Writing and creativity coach and author, Rose Diamond, has been a Rose author 5 (2)
passionate writer and whole person educator for nearly forty years.   She has always been fascinated by the creative process and has helped people in many different contexts and countries to empower their creativity and live their potential.

Rose’s journey with writing began in her late 20’s when she discovered a gift for writing poetry which opened her to the mystery of the inner world and set her on a lifelong path of exploring the authentic self. In the early 1980’s she published her poems in anthologies and journals and presented a long poem, Dreaming Wild Honey, as a poem for voices in a playwright’s workshop. At the same time she was commissioned to write training manuals as part of her work in adult and community education in Scotland where she initiated projects in communication skills and group leadership.

By her early 40’s Rose was so in love with writing that she left her successful business and therapy practice in order to write full time. Her first book, “Women and the Creative Process” was drafted in one glorious year and became the inspiration for much of the work Rose has done since in understanding the soul journey. Since then, Rose has written and self-published three books: Migration to the Heartland; A Soul Journey in the Land of the Awakening Dawn, 2005, is a semi-autobiographical spiritual adventure story; Living your Passion; How Love-in-action is Seeding a Whole New World, 2008, is a transformational book based around interviews with ordinary people who are making a positive difference to their communities by living their passion; True Wealth; Seeding a Resilient New Culture Together explores the values and practice of community currencies. At the same time Rose was writing her own story her father wrote a book about growing up in the heart of industrial England in the 1920’s, so Rose is very aware of the potential for everyone in personal story writing.

Originally from the U.K (England and Scotland), Rose lived in New Zealand for  20 years making her home at the top of the South Island in beautiful Nelson and Golden Bay. She also spent three years in Virginia, USA, with her co-creative partner, Woods Elliott, where she was granted a work visa as a person of “extraordinary ability” as a writer and educator.  Motivated by a big vision for the global transformation of consciousness and culture, Rose began her own transformational learning project, A Whole New World, in 2006 and in 2013 this became Tribe in Transition. During these years she has built a body of work including more than a dozen e-books, more than 100 blog posts and 100+ audio interviews with new culture makers. She has also designed and run teleseminar series, hosted a local radio show, Passionate Women, and offered original transformational and writing programmes, workshops and coaching, locally and online. She is currently back in her homeland, the UK.
